What is a special or custom coupling?
A special coupling is designed or adapted for a specific application - for example non-standard shaft connections, spacer lengths, brake discs or drums, torque monitoring, special materials or replacement of an obsolete design. MECHATRIC engineers such solutions from the operating data and the existing installation.
What we need to select the right product
Power and speed (or torque), service factor, shaft diameters and keyways, misalignment, temperature and environment, existing coupling, required standard (e.g. API 610 / 671).
Typical applications: Pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors, crushers, mills and gearbox connections.
