MECHATRIC supports the engineering, sourcing and custom manufacture of industrial V-belt pulleys for new equipment, upgrades and replacement projects. We can coordinate production of standard-profile and non-standard pulleys to customer drawings, samples and agreed technical specifications, subject to design review, manufacturing feasibility and inspection requirements.

Product Range & Manufacturing Capabilities

• Standard V-belt sheaves: single- and multi-groove pulleys for classical and narrow / wedge V-belt sections, selected against the applicable belt and pulley profile standard.
• Special-purpose configurations: large-diameter, multi-groove, stepped, split, heavy-duty and application-specific pulleys, subject to feasibility.
• Adjustable-pitch / variable-speed pulleys: engineered options where a suitable design, adjustment range and duty specification are available - e.g. static adjustable PR DV / PBR DV and spring-loaded VAR types.
• Mounting interfaces: finished bore / keyway, taper-bush compatible and engineered shaft-hub connections; locking assemblies where specified.
• Replacement and reverse engineering: manufacture from approved drawings or verified sample dimensions, including dimensional and fit checks.

International Standards & Quality Requirements

Pulley groove geometry and matching belt profiles may be specified against relevant standards such as ISO 4183 (classical and narrow V-belt pulley groove systems) and ISO 4184 (classical and narrow V-belts), as applicable to the selected profile and project. Dimensional tolerances, material grade, keyways, surface finish, runout and balancing requirements are defined in the approved drawing or purchase specification. Other DIN, ISO, ANSI / RMA or manufacturer-specific requirements can be reviewed when supplied by the customer.

Important: reference to a standard does not itself establish certification or full compliance. Applicable editions, inspection methods and acceptance criteria must be agreed before manufacture.

Engineering Selection & RFQ Checklist

To quote a standard or custom V-belt pulley, provide: belt section / profile and manufacturer (if known); number of grooves; pitch / reference diameter and outside diameter; shaft bore and keyway or bushing type; required face width; material; rotational speed and direction; transmitted power; duty / service conditions; ambient temperature; quantity; drawing or sample photos; and balancing, coating, inspection and documentation requirements.

Why Specify a Custom V-Belt Pulley?

A properly engineered replacement can help preserve belt compatibility, fit existing shafts and guards, match drive ratios and address special installation constraints. Groove accuracy, concentricity, belt matching and dynamic behaviour must be validated for the actual duty.
